MGM Studios Theme Park
What to do at the MGM Studios Theme Park
Walt Disney World is a theme park and resort like no other. There is simply no other theme park in the world that combines as many things to do as there are at Walt Disney World. Among the various mini theme parks located on the grounds of this incredible Orlando destination is MGM Studios, a park that is often eclipsed by the Magic Kingdom and the Epcot Center. However, despite being a park that is not as popular as some of the larger portions of Walt Disney World, the MGM Studios theme park is filled with exciting attractions and great live shows.
It is unfortunate that so many people choose to visit Universal Studios theme park instead of the MGM Studios theme park when they visit Orlando. While Universal Studios does have a lot more rides and shows, MGM Studios is a part of Walt Disney World, and so it provides guests with something that other theme parks lack – a unique atmosphere. The entire park is set up with the MGM style and features several movie based attractions and shows. For example, there is a Twilight Zone ride which takes you into the “Tower of Terror”; you can ride on Star Tours, a Star Wars based ride; and you can even see an Indiana Jones stunt show that is sure to impress.
As if those rides weren’t enough, there is a roller coaster at MGM Studios with an entire soundtrack done by the world famous rock band, Aerosmith. And if you are looking to just kick back and relax for a couple of hours, you can take a trip on the MGM Studios theme park back lot tour to relieve some of the most famous scenes from MGM movies. All in all, if you are looking for a movie based adventure but you do not want to spend the extra money to visit Universal Studios Orlando, then the MGM Studios portion of Walt Disney World will surely make your day.
